LorenzoRecently a local media outlet just released a list naming the hottest chicks in geekdom. Don’t be fooled this is just a ploy to get themselves new readers since their internet traffic is slower than molasses. The featured list shows a lot of well known international hot ladies who are certified geeks. I said that this is just a marketing tool, why you ask? It’s because they included a semi-famous local person who they say qualify as a geek. Now I know that the word geek can be translated in many ways and in certain ways she can be classified as a geek but this is nothing more than a ploy to get more internet traffic and to revive a dying career.
Since fantasy dress up is not doing so well right now the best thing to do is to capitalize on an idea that is a win-win situation. Release a list of hot geeks add a local personality, get more readers in the form of the personalities fans. Not only is this a plan to get more readers but to also to present the personality as a geek, a moe geek. Ah the last desperate act. I’m not saying that this ploy will not work remember the old adage “sex sells”. Now why moe geek? Well moe since time is not on anyone’s side she must look younger for her age which is pathetic. I thought only cougars do this, no offense to cougars. On the (video game)geek side of the Moe geek, just because you played a couple of video games or know how to use the latest piece of technology doesn’t make you a geek. Hey my grandpa plays Wii sports I guess he’s a geek. On one point I’m really doubtful, she claims that she played the famicom when she was 4 yrs old….really?! Let’s do a little math, she was born in 1989 so she is 4 yrs old in 1993, the famicom was released in 1985. During the early 90’s it was the age of the SNES and SEGA. I think the only plausible explanation is parents have an old famicom, kids decided to play the old system. Naturally the parents see this as a way to connect to the kids and rekindle the love for gaming. Parents bought a newer system in the form of SEGA, SNES, or both. I guess the explanation that I just said is closer to fiction than reality so she playing a famicom at age 4 in 1993 is more or less bullshit. I tried playing games a generation lower and sometimes I can’t even stand the graphics what more if you’re a kid. If she played the famicom it must have been short lived. For me that explanation is closer to fiction than realty. Claiming to have played at age 4 in 1993 is closer to bullshit. With that said I just pass this off as another way of revitalizing a dying career, hey Madonna does it every time, since fantasy dress-up is no longer a lucrative business so take advantage of the dumbasses and assume another role, a moe geek.
So heeding a friend’s advice I decided to expand my venue with regards to my writing. I contacted a blog site for gaming and the blogger has no problem with me contributing to the site. So I just went ahead and wrote a post with regards to gamin. Honestly speaking my writing didn’t turn out the way I had hoped it would be. Maybe because I’m being rusty, uninspired, or it could just be the subject matter itself. I like to keep my feet on the ground and my head in the clouds. My writing is not really that great in my opinion, talk about being your worst critic, but I hardly care for that bad grammar and all. Just like anything in life practice makes perfect so I’m doing this just for the fun of it, to improve myself and among other things. Let’s be honest here any self respecting blogger/writer needs readers to keep them inspired and motivated. That’s just what they do, that’s the reality of things. Each and everyone of us has a reason for doing things. We only live once make the most of it.

If I were to direct an Action movie…
This would be it! This is incredibly funny and doable. Ridiculous in many ways but entertaining nonetheless. This was sent by a friend and i haven’t stopped smiling. No need for CGI effects, just do it! All I have to do is find a guy with balls and a sick action choreographer. Any takers???
Gotta reblog this from Xombie. Sliding horse and jumping jeeps! FuckYeah!
You’re never too old.
This will definitely be me when I’m that old.
40 years from now…

I do believe that humans are capable of anything and sometimes it is scary. No this is not one of those stories you’ve seen on CSI or anything, but just an observation of certain behaviors. Having a blog or social network I see myself exposed to different information from the mundane to the most interesting. I have a tumblr, facebook and twitter(which I don’t usually use). Having a social network is a way of connecting to your friends and or followers. Seeing so many entries on social networks I just don’t get it why someone would delete a post in one’s network site. Edit maybe but completely erasing an entry is something for me that is bizarre.
Photography is a creative endeavor. By analyzing or just by shear epiphany I realized something. Most people who get into photography loves the appeal of control. The ability to capture that one moment in time in which past, present and future collide. You might say that I am a bit over the top with my opinion about photography enthusiast but this is just my opinion. I just see that we are humans and we all have our certain quirks and what not but this does not undermines one’s value whatsoever. Now here is where social networks come in. We would like to share our little works of art. Sometimes we could be famous from these especially if the photographer has assets beyond the camera lens. In other words good looking.
I see that sometimes the human character can easily be corrupted by fame, fortune and beauty. In this social sites one can be influenced by what other people may say despite the fact that these comments are particularly fueled by adoration and pipe dream fantasies. Sometimes it can get to the point that said owner of the social site cannot even accept a valid criticism and just dismiss it as just plain bashing or trolling. On the other hand who would want their works to be undermined or belittled.
In all of these, the behavior of deleting ones post just sends a clear message for me. And that is the appeal of control, like photography it gives one power and control. People sometimes or wants to project a certain image to their followers, an image of jovial disposition or even sophistication. All I can see in this is that deleting ones post means one is trying to hide something or wanting to keep that image alive in its perfection. Much like of an icon or a legend in which they are there to control the hearts and minds of the masses. It is all about control to achieve one’s otherwise selfish goals but hey we are only human.

Alright let’s continue the next game can only be described as brutal. Demon’s Souls is a really difficult game that involves a lot of trial and error. In this game you will die, you will die a lot. Like any RPG you would have to build-up your players stats depending on what type you want that character to be. But this still won’t save you from constant imminent death. I know your scratching your head I die frequently? Don’t worry this is why the game is addicting. It challenges you to think of a brand new strategy on how to progress through the world. As well as the tons of armors and weapons in the game. The best way to describe this game is Diablo meets Monster Hunter. The boss fights in this game are epic. The picture above is the picture of the Tower Knight. First time I saw this Mountain of a Demon is “for the love of sanity I’m supposed to defeat this armored behemoth” Luckily in demon’s soul you can summon other players into your game. Unfortunately my party mate died just when the knight has about 1/16 life left. Good thing I was able to put him away. As I said this game is hard, really hard. This is not for pussy gamers who can’t even finish Final Fantasy XII. So if you are up to the challenge and consider yourself as a true hardcore gamer in a very bad ass fashion then this game is for you. Please look into the reviews to find out more.

One of the games that I have right now in my unfinished bin is Resonance of Fate. Now this game is a real gem of a game. I find this more addicting than the disappointing FFXIII. For those who have played Valkyria Chronicles(VC), another gem from Sega, then think of this as VC on steriods. This game boasts guns and grenades instead of the traditional sword and magic. In the game you could make stylish moves ala John Woo/Matrix like action. It’s really cool and it never gets old. The story takes a little while to pick up but believe me it’s worth it unlike FFXIII that bores you to death for the next 15 hours. The characters are likeable in an anime kind of sense, it’s like watching an anime. There is a little humor here and there. In this game you really have to go through the tutorial or you will get your teeth handed to you. If you screw up in your tactics you are as good as dead but not to worry you can always retry the battle for a small fee. In this game you will die often but it’s not as punishing as Demon’s Soul. To know more get an overview from review sites out there. This game is a must have for any JRPG fan. One of the only true JRPG on the next gen.

This first quarter of the year 2010 has been phenomenal for the ps3 console. Lots of great games were released but since everyone is on a budget we can’t buy them all. Wish I could but that would send me directly to the poor house. So let’s get a run down of what I have.
First off is Final Fantasy XIII. Yes I know this is a legendary franchise but is this 13th iteration of the series worth the title. No. The game is extremely linear and boring for the 1st 8 chapters. The story would start to pick up after chapter 8. This series has the most annoying character in the history of Final Fantasy which is Vanille. Don’t get me wrong Vanille is the hottest character in this series but her perpetual upbeat attitude is a boner killer. And her accent is not consistent, the voice actor sometimes forgets the accent. FYI the voice actor for Vanille is hot. Then there are other characters like the douche bag Snow. During the first chapters when he starts preaching his douche bag propaganda Lightning would come to the rescue and lay the smack on the bastard..Thank you, Lightning. Hope is nothing more than an introverted pussy boy. Spineless, his only saving grace is that his Eidolon is the hulking Alexander. Not gonna get into anymore details to know more just read a review. So is this a bad game not really. They should have just made this into a spin-off instead of a slapping the name of Final Fantasy. So what now? Well I am eagerly waiting on Final Fantasy Versus XIII. Not much info on the game yet but Square Enix hinted that there would be a world map and an airship…..hell yeah!
Okay this long enough I’ll just another installment on this.
